The property is located in a lovely residential neighborhood in NW London/Westminster near many excellent restaurants/shops/bakeries. The area is safe and very pleasant. Room is small and pretty basic, but not bad. Only saw staff when checking in and out, but they were very friendly. Room was cleaned daily.
Narrow steps up one flight of stairs, no iron or ironing board in room. The St. John's Wood tube stop is about a 15 minute walk. No drawer space for clothes; shelf space provided for clothes was a bit dirty/dusty. Five rooms at the Inn; you do hear the other guests entering and exiting, climbing stairs, closing doors, etc.
Rooms are old-fashioned but clean and very well appointed. Located close to St John's Wood (Underground, cafes and restaurants) or a shortish walk through Regents Park to Camden. Free wi-fi in room.
The service in the Thai restaurant downstairs was very slow on the night we tried to eat there.
The location was perfect for us as we were going to concerts at the O2, and this hotel is on the jubilee line. Very nice area and nice places to eat nearby too.
On one night the people leaving the pub downstairs were particularly noisy, but luckily it did not last too long,
Excellent location, very friendly staff, clean room...
I liked everything! The place is really nice and the pub downstairs is what I call "a pub". :)
Hotel room and bathroom very comfortable and well equipped. Good standard of towels and toiletries. Staff delightful. Very good value for money. Would stay there again. Excellent location for our needs.
Service was great! Woman from the bar helped us to take our luggeges up to the room and she was very kind and helpfull. Room was clean.
You can hear music from the bar to your room but it's not too bad and it ends before midnight. Wind comes throw the windows, could be quite cold at the winter. We hate the 2 different taps for hot and cold water, very uncomfortable to use. Bathroom afterall not too fancy.
The nearness to the local High Street with lots of places to eat or have coffee. The ease of getting on the underground (10 mins walk).
The smell of cooking food in our room (room 5). The noise of the kitchen extractor, this was however turned off at night.
Lovely location for London, nice rooms, twin room big and bed very comfy
The hotel was situated in St Johns Wood which had a upmarket village feel about it. The tube was about 10 minute walk away. The twin room we had was spacious and clean despite being in a pub it was very quiet once the pub emptied at night. The english breakfast was generous and set us up for the day. We used the hotel for a short stay in London which included a trip to Wembley and would certainly use again
Nice rooms, friendly staff and a fantastic cooked breakfast. Location in St Johns Wood perfect for getting into London and not far from tube station. Safe residential area at night to walk back to Inn. Would recommend to others. Good price for a room in London.
Set in the suburb of St Johns Wood with its restaurants, shops and bars, but away from the main street in a peaceful location. 5 minute walk from the tube - excellent choice
The room was comfortable and spacious with a large shower room. The tea making facilities were much better than some of the big hotels and so was the shower, which gave plenty of hot water . The staff were sweet and the location quiet for London, so we slept a little better. We were also able to open the windows fully, so we didnt feel so stuffy. The location is great for Regents park and for Camden and both are worth a visit. Camden market is great fun. Ideal proximity to both the underground at Camden and at St Johns Wood and one stop on you can get to a bustling Baker Street which is really buzzing. All in all a pleasant stay and I would stay again if in the area. Though over a pub it was remarkably quiet.
I cant think of much to complain about, except the tv being just out of signal on the main channels, but thats no big problem. The only other complaint is that St Johns Wood is not a buzzing place for night life , its rather well healed and they like to let you know. We had much more fun in Camden and Baker Street.
The location is fantastic - just like being in a little country village but less than 3 minutes walk to Regents Park and 20 minutes to bustling Camden town. Lovely Thai Food in the evening and a very big good full English breakfast. Great place to stay - we will definitely go back.
Would have liked more options on tea bags in room - I dont like Typhoo - Earl Gray and Twining Breakfast please. Also, if possible a small fridge would be nice to be able to store cold drinks and fresh mik as I dont like UHT milk pots. The bathroom door in Room 1 was very close to sink and didnt stay closed unless actually shut with the handle and I banged my back twice whilst washing at the sink, - Perhaps put one of the closing brackets on the top of the door so that it will always shut automatically, could avoid this?
The room was the smallest we've ever stayed in. There are bigger rooms but apparently they were all booked. It was impossible to move from one side of the bed to the en-suite without manouvering around furniture. Room 4 should definitely be a single room, which since it appears to be charged at the same rate as the larger room , seems very unfair.Avery negative experience all round, peeling paintwork, noisy floors. Sorry, nothing much good to say really.
